Join us as we officially relaunch the Black Sport Collective at Surrey! Students can enjoy a free barbering session, giving you the chance to get your hair done for free while meeting other students, building connections and taking part in important discussions around Black experiences, representation and sport. Free food included! 

Who will be there: 

Barber: Mayur is a local barber based in Guildford and is an Afro Specialist. He is offering free cuts to students attending this event as well as providing information & support about hair care. Follow his instagram here: @kingmayur1. This is on a first come first serve basis.

Black Tennis Mentors UK: A group that supports and spotlights black tennis leaders, creating opportunities for tennis enthusiasts and connecting experienced leaders with keen learners. You can find out more on Instagram here @blacktennismentorsuk

Black Minds Matter UK: Did you know the University has partnered with Black Minds Matter UK? This partnership aims to improve mental health awareness and access to culturally informed support for black students and students from racially minoritised backgrounds. The Student Equality Network: The Student Equality Network is a group run by students, for students and supported by the Union. Its purpose is to help to ensure that the Union and University remain informed about the experiences of different groups that make up our Student community.
