Tuesday 20 October

Every year, at around this time in the semester, your Students’ Union run Wellbeing Week! It’s designed to give you a chance to take a break, take some time for yourself, and focus on your wellbeing. We know that for both new and returning students, the first few weeks of term can be difficult, with many of you adjusting to being away from home for the first time, navigating a new city, and feeling the pressure of making new friends. It’s for this reason that we introduced Wellbeing Week, run by your VP Support and Support Zone team!

Wellbeing Week encourages you to learn new skills, meet new people, and learn about the wellbeing services that are readily available to you throughout your entire university experience, should you need them. Throughout the week, your Support Zone team have organised a range of events designed to help you de-stress, as we know the first few weeks on campus can always feel busy and overwhelming!

The week takes place between Monday 26 October until Sunday 1 November and here are some of the events that are happening throughout the week.

Monday –

  • Mindful Mindset Workshop – join us in the Front Room between 14:00 – 15:00 to learn some mindfulness techniques to use when things get a bit busy.

Tuesday –

  • WellFair – visit the Hive on Stag Hill campus to meet all the support services available to you whilst you are at University. Running from 10:00 – 15:00.

Sunday –

As you can see, there is so much happening throughout the week, so to ensure you don’t miss anything keep an eye on our What’s On Calendar.

Your Union and VP Support are here for you throughout your entire University experience, with Wellbeing Week being just one of the ways you can learn more about the services that are available to you. If you need further support and guidance outside of Wellbeing Week and would like to speak with a member of the team, head over to our Support page for more information or pop into your Students’ Union.
