Course Rep of the Month FABS: Jia Sachdeva
Course: Banking and Finance MSc
Jia has been selected as Course Rep of the Month for March in recognition of their outstanding commitment and impact. They were nominated for:
Proactively gathering detailed feedback from across the cohort through surveys and conversations, identifying key concerns around assessment clarity and feedback timelines.
Presenting clear and evidence based proposals at SSLC meetings, which led to the introduction of more detailed marking rubrics and revision workshops before exams.
Jia’s work has strengthened communication between students and staff, improving engagement, satisfaction, and trust in academic representation.

Course Rep of the Month FHMS: Charlotte Cheatle
Course: Psychology
Charlotte has been selected as Course Rep of the Month for March in recognition of their outstanding commitment and impact. They were nominated for:
Supporting a PGR student experiencing poor supervision by working closely with them, liaising with the PGR Director, and organising a meeting with the supervisory team to resolve the issue.
Raising wider concerns from PGR students around inconsistency in supervision, delays in feedback, and lack of clarity in supervisory roles to help improve the overall experience.
Charlotte’s work has helped ensure important issues are addressed and that PGR voices are heard within the department.

Course Rep of the Month FEPS: Vihanya Ratnayake
Course: Aerospace Engineering with PTY BEng SW
Vihanya has been selected as Course Rep of the Month for March in recognition of their outstanding commitment and impact. They were nominated for:
Collecting and presenting student feedback at SSLC and Board of Studies meetings, ensuring the aerospace engineering cohort is well represented.
Successfully contributing to key changes, including the creation of a centralised document for assessments and improvements to lecture delivery and access to recordings for revision.
Vihanya’s proactive approach has led to clear and tangible improvements for students on their course.
