Union Connects: Speed Friending

Starting university is exciting, but finding your feet on campus can feel like a lot. If you’re new to Surrey and want an easy way to meet people, join us for Speed Friending at Hari's Bar!

This chilled drop-in activity helps you start conversations without the awkward guesswork. We’ll use simple prompts and a fun bingo game to help you chat with other freshers, make new connections, and feel more at home in your new campus life.

Come along for the full session, or drop in when you can. No pressure, no prep, and no need to arrive with anyone.

This is the perfect opportunity to:

• Meet other freshers in a relaxed, friendly space;
• Ease into campus life at your own pace;
• Start conversations without overthinking it;
• Find a few familiar faces for the weeks ahead.

This is a FREE activity hosted by Surrey Students’ Union, but you’ll need to bring your student ID! Just bring yourself!
