We offer a range of classes for all different abilities, whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced competitor:
Our classes are led by our coaches Michael and Nika, professional Ballroom and Latin dancers and UK 10-Dance Champions, with numerous Junior and Amateur Championship titles, their teaching combines top level experience with a passion for helping dancers grow. Our Team Captains also are there to teach and support classes.

Throughout the year, we take part in numerous friendly competitions between other universities which is a fun and supportive way to gain experience.

Members of BLDC can borrow outfits from our club wardrobe, available to all abilities.
Strictly Come Surrey
In collaboration with other societies such as Stage Crew and Stag TV, Strictly Come Surrey is a spectacular show where club members get to be the "pros" and teach a celebrity (nominated by students) how to dance.

To provide regular Ballroom and Latin dance training and practice opportunities for members of all experience levels. To create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where members can participate safely and confidently. To promote physical health, wellbeing, coordination, and confidence through dance and physical activity. To encourage social interaction and community building through classes, socials, performances, and events. To support skill development and progression, from beginner participation to competitive dancing where desired. To represent the club positively within the university and wider dance community through events, collaborations, and competitions.
