Surrey Taekwondo - Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self- Control and Indomitable Spirit

Taekwondo has been at Surrey for almost 20 years. We train WT Taekwondo and compete in all three BUCs competitions and all levels are able to compete. We welcome all levels whether you are beginner or a black belt. There are opportunities to grade too!
We were very lucky this year (2025) to recieve the Forever Surrey Fund whereby we got the funding to purchase the PSS Kpnp electronic equipment which is used in the Olympics.
Family is a huge element of our club and socials occur on the regular to enable bonding! From bowling to Air Hop, Ninja Warrior and Pot lucks!!

Aims

The club aims to promote the core values of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. Our goal is to help members develop both physically and mentally through regular training, competitions, and teamwork. We strive to rise through the ranks of BSTF competitions, build strong bonds between members, and create a supportive and inclusive community where students can grow in confidence, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Existence

The Taekwondo University Club exists to provide students with opportunities to learn and practise Taekwondo in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. The club promotes physical fitness, self-discipline, confidence, teamwork, and personal development through regular training, competitions, and social activities. The club also aims to foster a sense of community among students while encouraging respect, leadership, and lifelong participation in martial arts.
