291" data-end="675">Strictly Come Surrey is the Students’ Union’s very own dance competition with a twist - inspired by the glamour of Strictly Come Dancing, but with a uniquely Surrey spin. This much-loved event pairs students and staff from across campus with dancers from the Ballroom and Latin Dance Club, who train them to perform live on stage in front of a cheering audience and a panel of judges.

It’s part performance, part friendly competition, and 100% entertainment - packed with sequins, surprises, and student/staff talent.

What is Strictly Come Surrey?

Strictly Come Surrey brings together students from all areas of university life - from sports clubs and societies to sabbatical officers and staff — and challenges them to learn and perform a ballroom or Latin dance routine in just a few short weeks.

Each non-dancer is paired with an experienced student dancer, and together they rehearse and train ahead of a one-night-only performance in University Hall. Judges and audience members vote for their favourites, with one couple crowned Strictly Come Surrey Champions.
